It’s been another huge year for 4Pillars! 2019 was our third year of operation and I believe it was a turning point for our business.

The reason I say that is because I can see and feel the momentum growing. There is a groundswell of interest and demand for our team, because the word is getting out about our professionalism, reputation, pragmatism and value for money.

One of our goals for 2020 is to increase our marketing footprint. However, we have seen excellent growth in the last 12 months, based on word of mouth referrals alone.

For those who keep an eye on our “meet the team” articles – our team has more than doubled since the start of last year! In 2019 we welcomed Gunnar, James Sonter, Rosie and Steph. We also welcomed Theresa back to the team full time after some time working in an analytical laboratory. Every person in the team has a unique and complementary skill set. With Gunnar and Rosie in particular, our capabilities in contaminated land and water management, and approvals have grown significantly.

Our broad skills can be seen especially in the work we do under our EnviroNow Projects. Our portfolio of EnviroNow clients has tripled since 2019.
If you’re not sure what EnviroNow is, it is a holistic environmental compliance and risk management package, designed to give our clients peace of mind and excellent value. For more information check out our brochure.

It wasn’t just project work that kept us busy in 2019. We kept up our commitment of being a good corporate citizen, delivering events for the EIANZ and assisting with pro bono work where possible. We even managed to squeeze in a game of pool, a trivia night and a team dinner here and there!

A few weeks ago, we spent half a day looking ahead and planning for 2020. Among other priorities, we are looking forward to:

  • Reviewing our EnviroNow packages, expanding offerings to also include free and basic subscription levels;
  • Continuing to grow our EnviroNow Plus client base and reviewing how we provide value, and benefits over and above a standard employee;
  • Increasing our market share in contaminated land assessments, remediation and planning approvals; and
  • Continuing to refine our low-overhead operating model, to ensure we offer clients the best value for money

Each year I see our business go from strength to strength, even in a challenging trading environment. I want to take this opportunity to thank the entire team for their hard work and dedication. We all really believe in what we are doing and achieving the best outcomes possible. I also want to thank our clients, new and established, for your business. I can’t wait to see what 2020 (and a new decade!) will bring.

Cheers,
James
