Hi everyone, thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I am Manikshya Shrestha, and I work as an Environmental Consultant at 4Pillars.

Coming from a country of pristine nature, I was captivated by its beauty and inflamed by television documentaries on the national geographic channel, my immense interest in science grew into an aspiration and pursuit of a career in the field. Experiencing the environmental problems in Nepal such as air pollution, water pollution, extreme heat (to name a few), and its rippling effects on biodiversity, I became deeply interested in becoming a part of the solution and preserving the pristine environment.

With a vision in mind, I moved to Australia and started my journey to study Master of Environment at Macquarie University. I hold a bachelor’s degree in science majoring in Botany which aligns perfectly. During my university, I was given the opportunity to identify, tackle and combat environmental issues through remediation, sustainability, and conservation. Further, in my last semester, I interned as an Environmental Consultant at Sydney Water and volunteered for AUSMAP, a citizen science project.

Soon after my studies, I joined 4Pillars where I am exposed to different projects regarding environmental monitoring, impact assessment, remediation, and management. It has given me a platform to learn and grow in a supportive and uplifting environment.

During my leisure time, you can find me in the kitchen experimenting with different cuisine, watching movies, or playing table tennis. I also enjoy listening to Sadhguru’s interviews while immersing in self-care habits.

Thank you for taking out time to read about me, I can’t wait to showcase my learning experiences and accomplishments in the future.
