Hey there. Thanks for taking the time to get to know me. I’m James Sonter and I’m an intern at 4Pillars!

I joined 4Pillars in April this year and although my time here has only been short, I’m already loving it and slowly getting my head around the bountiful amounts to learn. The team at 4Pillars is diverse, everyone being equipped with different skills and expertise. The team is sharp, on the ball and professional, making it an honour to join the ranks.

A bit about me…A common theme in all my school reports would be a comment reading something along the lines of “James excels in the things he likes doing…” (…unfortunately the same couldn’t be said about the things I didn’t like doing).

This leads me to my degree choice.  I’m excited to say that I’m in my final year of study! I’m completing my bachelor in Natural science in Environmental management. I’ve chosen a major in consulting because I’ve always enjoyed asking questions, being practical and hands on. I love it and I see the field as having extreme value and holding the utmost importance.

When I’m not at Uni or the office, you’ll probably find me playing some form of sport, or doing a precarious acrobatic stunt (I’m really bad at gymnastics). I do love athletic ability though and recently began perusing a national qualifying time in the 100m and 200m sprint. I have yet to achieve this, but I know – like most things – with time and focus it’s possible. I’m also a lifesaver and love the beach!

Books and movies? “A Picture of Dorian Gray” was one of my favourite novels, his flowery writing style takes you back to the cobblestone streets of London in the19th century. Finally, I’m a bit of a sci-fi enthusiast, I loved interstellar and its sound track (…and the physics were sick!).

Thanks again for taking your time to get to know me and I’ll see you on a job site soon!
