Clean and Green Organics

Clean and Green Organics Pty Ltd (CGO) are an established organic waste recycling company that have operated for 10+ years. They specialise in converting organic waste into compost through advanced composting and vermicasting methods. CGO is seeking to modify its existing composting facility located at 769 The Northern Road, Bringelly, NSW 2556.

The main aim of the proposed development is to trial a new composting technique through the use of Black Solider larvae in association with Goterra Pty Ltd for a period of 12 months, with an option for extension. Key aspects of the proposal include:

  1. Receival, processing and composting of Category 3 food waste as defined in the NSW EPA’s Composting Guidelines 2004 by Goterra processing technology.
  2. Processing of up to 4,000 tonnes of food waste, including green vegetables, bakery, meat and dairy per annum (no increase in annual throughput proposed) within the existing dome awning.
  3. Installation of Goterra processing technology, including Modular Infrastructure for Biological Service (MIBs) units and associated equipment, either within the existing shed or under dome awnings (final location to be determined).
  4. Construction of a hardstand in a designated small section within the existing dome awning, to accommodate the Goterra equipment.
  5. Various ancillary activities such as general storage of equipment and maintenance.

We are now seeking your feedback, thoughts, and concerns on the proposed development at the CGO facility. Your feedback will be considered in developing aspects of the proposed development.
